"Just arrived back 'home' with the kids after our break in Keswick and Devon, and this is sent to thank you for the excellent accommodation you provided.
We really appreciated the Wainwright books and videos, plus the DVD's that came in useful during the customary changeable weather.
For feedback (for what it's worth) the only shortfall for me was a lack of Wi-Fi, although this was free in the Dog & Gun and Kings Arms Hotel - if you could find a seat."

"We left very early last friday so I didn't get a chance to write in the book, but wanted to let you know we had a very enjoyable holiday and the flat was comfortable, very well-equipped, esp the kitchen and I thought the books (I particularly liked reading the Wainwright books) and dvds were a nice touch.
I am struggling to think of any suggestions for improvements as we found it just fine for our needs.
The views were fantastic too and I have already recommended it to friends."

"I'm not sure what I can add other than echo all the other reviews above, we had a wonderful week (despite typical Lakeland weather) and spent many a breakfast watching Skiddaw appearing out of the clouds and evenings watching the sun playing across Derwent water, Cat Bells and beyond.
A great base for exploring Keswick, the surrounding countryside, and local pubs and restaurants. Thanks Dale, we highly recommend 'The Views'."
"We've visited Keswick several times and stayed in many different locations. Although the other places have been nice, nowhere has come close to the overall experience of the views, to say the views from "The Views" are breathtaking would not be doing it justice.
To be met personally by Dale on arrival was a nice touch and the induction is supported by an excellent and informative DVD on how everything works in the flat (great idea). We hope to stay again at some point and will be recommending to friends and family."

We cooked almost every night and the kitchen utensils were perfect – everything we needed was there.
A couple of recommendations for drink and food – the Square Orange almost next door is a fantastic place to go for a drink, lovely cocktails for £4.80 and very well done! The Queens Hotel is great for a small whiskey after a long walk – very old England and very comfy chairs! The gallery a couple of doors up from the Square Orange is a must to have a look in, some really interesting art work.
We will definitely be up there again – thanks again for for providing us with such a magical place for the week!

"The Views is a lovely flat right in the centre of Keswick.
It is clean, and excellently equipped providing everything one needs for a fantastic stay. It is near to local pubs, shops and there is even a lovely old cinema just up the street. Just as convenient is Derwentwater and numerous beautiful mountain and forest walks.
This was our first visit to the Lake District, and the Views, but it will not be the last.

"Our second time at this lovely flat and once again had a great holiday.
The best thing about The Views is of course the views. Spent many a happy hour watching the mist ebb and flow over Skiddaw and the Jackdaws and Pigeons fighting it out over the roof tops. Struck lucky with the weather too.
Recommend Castlehead for a short climb giving marvelious views over the Lake."

It certainly lives up to it's name, especially at sunset and sunrise if you can drag yourself from the bed.
An abundance of coffee shops and places to eat just a short walk away meant that we never got to use the kitchen! We'll be back."
"We found the Views to be in a perfect location in the centre of Keswick to make our stay seem effortless.
The apartment is well equipped and well thought out, giving plenty of room for two people to relax in comfortable and tasteful surroundings. The superb views are a real bonus in a town centre apartment and added considerable pleasure to our stay .

"Just to let you know had a great stay at the Views and yes the weather was considerably better than when my daughter stayed.
Got out walking every day, highlight has to be going up Glaramara and Allen Crags, although my legs did ache afterwards.
Loved having breakfast in the kitchen the views really are stunning."

Bed excellent. It is good that you can book self catering for a few days, usually you have to book 6 months in advance.

We've got some lovely photos of Skiddaw, Causey Pike and Grisdale from 'The Views'.
It was nice to be in the lakes when it was so cold and the lake frozen over especially as it was Christmas.
The apartment is cosy and warm and the new Sony TV amazing with the surround sound system.The oven was great to use especially when I cooked the Christmas dinner.
We didn't even need to get the car out the whole week as there is so much to do in the area and the pubs nice and close, we even went to the cinema."

We have seen 3 red squirrels at Dodd wood a great place to go and a lovely café it is within walking distance of Keswick although we would recommend an OS map.

The two weeks had everything, good weather - in part (we got a bit of a tan), good food, mainly from the kitchen of The Views, good walks and a bit of culture from the Beer Festival!! We love a bit of culture!!"

Having off road parking and its central position meant we were able to leave the car while we went walking or out for a meal at night.
The icing on the cake was having breakfast while looking out over Keswick to the hills beyond, superb! We can't wait to return!"

"The title "The Views" says it all, WOW!
We stayed for five nights and had a superb time.
The apartment and its contents appeared to be brand new and this in turn encouraged us to look after it and make it our own for our stay.
The TV & cinema system was excellent and easy to use, with a great choice of DVDs, CDs or books to read.
We had one very wet day, so rested our bones in a hot bath with the bathroom heater turning it into a sauna (almost!), then watched a movie slouched on the reclining leather sofa with the spots dimmed ,listening to the pitter patter of rain on the numerous window panes.....very chilled!

It really does have astounding views, and being situated right in the centre of Keswick means you'll never be more than a few minutes walk from a great selection of pubs, restaurants and all the other lovely things Keswick has

It was so much better being able to book directly with yourself as you met us, showed us around the apartment and gave us reccomendations of where to go in Keswick.
It was very good of you to contact us to tell us we could have the apartment earlier than we expected as we had arrived ahead of our planned schedule and you were also very helpful when we realised we had left some items behind.

"What a lovely, comfortable, clean apartment with marvelous views and a
great location. Well equipped, airy and snug.
We recommend getting the 208 bus to Aira Force waterfall and then walking back to Keswick along the Old Coach Road and disused railway footpath (leaflet from Tourist Office gives directions). Would have had great views of Blencathra and Skiddaw if it hadn't been raining so much!
The railway path along the River Greta back to Keswick is beautiful. Plus your bus ticket entitles you to a free cuppa at the Royal Hotel, Dockray,
on the way. A lovely day out."

The apartment and location were perfect for us; the shops, pubs and restaurants were literally on our doorstep and the fell walks and parks were a few minutes walk away too.
We didn't use our car all week!
We would not hesitate to recommend "The Views" to anyone and have already told our friends and family what a wonderful time we had.

I liked the idea of being right in the middle of a busy town but up above the
noise and the crowds. I enjoyed slipping out to curse them returning upstairs to a quiet and comfortable place.
Everything worked for us; the bed was superb; the mirrors did their job and
the views are excellent - regardless of the weather.
I have had work done on my house since our visit and we were encouraged to

"The holiday was excellent thanks in large part to your lovely apartment. It was everything you said it would be and more.
Its position is ultra-convenient and the views are exceptional.
The kitchen facilities are excellent. Very well equipped and perfect for preparing a meal for two. The dishwasher is an added bonus if you're feeling a bit tired after a day's walking.
The highlight, of course, is the view from the kitchen window. Who couldn't enjoy spending time in there!

"When you pulled the bed down the first time we came we had visions of sleepless nights, but it is a very comfortable bed and easy to put up and down.

As you can read The Views must be one of the best places to stay in Keswick.
In fact I guarantee it's got the best views.
